Kitchen Renovation Gold Coast Home Type: High-rise condominium Location: Gold Coast Budget: $75,000-$100,000 Project design and challenges: Unique Gold Coast kitchen remodel. This condo had a very traditional compartmentalized layout with an enclosed kitchen. The footprint of the kitchen is not a square. The window wall is angled and was previously built out to try and create a square room. We demoed the bump out to take advantage of every inch of space. In order to maximize the space without feeling cramped, the peninsula was set at a slight angle and the countertops are narrower. Dark black cabinets are contrasted with white countertops and white upper cabinet storage. Light gray paint was used on the walls to help brighten the space. The stainless-steel appliances include a combination oven microwave and Frigidaire cooktop.
